I’ve been participating in the Carnival Against Child Abuse for a few months now, and recently, From Tracie, who is the organizer for this blog carnival, asked for volunteers to host. I was glad to host the carnival some month, and was assigned this month, August. The carnival welcomes submissions from bloggers who are survivors of childhood abuse or otherwise connected to the topic in some way.
The theme for this month’s carnival will be mental health. Feel free to interpret this broadly. Write about the mental health consequences of abuse, or write about how you’ve retained your mental well-being despite abuse, or write about something entirely different. In addition to the theme, there are several different general categories, in which you can submit a post. They are:
- Advocacy and awareness
- In the news
- Poetry
- Survivor stories
- Healing and therapy
- Aftermath
- Art therapy
It is fine if you submit a post in any of these categories or for the optional theme. You can submit multiple posts for this carnival. Your submissions don’t have to be new posts, but can be old posts as well.
Feel free to submit your post through the BlogCarnival.com submission page or, if you have issues accessing that site, in a comment here or via E-mail. Please include the category in which you would like your post included. The deadline for submissions will be Wednesday, August 24, and I’ll post the carnival on Friday, August 26.
Thank you so much for hosting this month!!
You picked a great theme, and I’m looking forward to reading all the submissions.
Hi! I’m really excited about this Carnival. This POEM is from my blog http://bordersofthepersonality.wordpress.com and I’d like it to be considered for August’s Blog Carnival. Thanks! Amy Sprague
